Bittersweet. That is how I would describe these final days of my final surrogacy arrangement with Building Families, Inc. The sweetness comes from knowing that next Monday will bring endless joy to my Couple in the form of a healthy, beautiful baby boy. Something I know they have dreamed of for so many years. The bitter is more from knowing that I am entering surrogate motherhood retirement. No more helping Couples in this special way. But the part that makes the bitter more bearable is that my work with Building Families and the many Surrogate Moms and Couples will continue for many, many years to come. I plan to be super involved in this process that I love so much.
