Grandpa’s Smile
Michelle’s pregnancy history always had a rough beginning with morning sickness and always ended with a long labor and delivery. But she absolutely wanted to help a couple achieve their dream of parenthood. To her surprise, she had no morning sickness and on June 3, 2001 she delivered Baby Grant, who weighed in at 8lb 4oz, in only a couple of hours! She exclaimed, “It is, literally, much easier to have a baby for someone else!”
There were many touching moments throughout Michelle’s surrogacy experience, but when I saw the picture of Grandpa seeing his grandson for the first time it took my breath away. The feelings this man had in his heart for this child were visible to all. How lucky Grant and his big brother, Gavin, are to have such a loving Grandpa!
