Like many in our industry, I found myself considering the idea of surrogacy when a family member experienced infertility. I couldn’t imagine a life without my own children, and seeing the heartbreak on their faces made me want to do anything in my power to help. Fortunately, they were able to reach their goal of parenthood!!When I was pregnant with my second child, I met a woman who was a surrogate. I was so intrigued and asked a million questions. I knew that this was something I could do, too, but more importantly, I knew it was something I wanted to do!
So, with the support of my husband and family, I embarked on my first surrogacy journey and delivered a healthy baby boy in 2018. The experience changed my life and my family’s lives in so many ways. It was a phenomenal experience, and BFI had a huge part to play in that. I knew I was coming back for a second journey before I had delivered. I went on to deliver a healthy baby girl to another intended parent in June of 2020. When I sit and reflect, it is amazing to me that these precious gifts of children will span generations! I feel beyond blessed and humbled to have been able to be a part of these incredible journeys.
While pursuing my dreams of building families and raising my own family, I have also earned my B.A. in Organizational Management with a concentration in Human Resources and two A.A.s in Business and Psychology. My education and personal experience help me in my role with Building Families every day. I am so honored to be able to continue to help couples build the families of their dreams!
